Sri Vari Laddu Sales Reach Dazzling Heights at Tirumala

The renowned pilgrim center of Tirumala witnessed heavy rush of devotees. On Friday, 66,304 devotees had darshan of the Lord. Among them, 31,811 devotees offered their hair as tonsure, fulfilling their vows. On that single day, offerings worth Rs. 4.51 crore came to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam through the Hundi. All compartments at the Vaikuntam Queue Complex were packed with devotees, with the queue line extending up to Krishna Teja Guest House.
Devotees taking the token-less Sarva Darshan had to wait 12 to 14 hours for darshan of the Lord. On that single day, 4.05 lakh laddus were sold. 1.93 lakh devotees received Anna Prasadam (food offering). A total of 3,392 devotees received medical assistance from Sri Vari Health Services for various ailments. In view of the increased rush, TTD officials made special arrangements at the queue complexes, queue lines, and Narayanagiri sheds, continuously providing Anna Prasadam and drinking water to devotees.
Meanwhile, last month saw record-level sales of Sri Vari laddus. Sales of the laddu prasadam — which devotees receive with immense devotion after having darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara, the living deity of Kali Yuga — reached record levels. In view of the rising devotee footfall, TTD also significantly increased laddu production, ensuring supply to devotees without any shortage. TTD sold a total of 1.27 crore laddus. This year, 1,11,96,170 laddus were sold in April and 1,21,35,528 in May. This number rose further in June, with a total of 1,26,81,805 laddus sold.
In June 2024, 1,02,64,364 laddus were sold, and in the same month of 2025, 1,19,21,353 laddus were sold. This year, the number rose substantially again, reaching 1,26,81,805 — that is, 7,59,452 more laddus sold compared to June last year, marking a growth of 6.37 percent.
Compared to 2024, 24,17,441 more laddus were sold, registering a growth of 23.55 percent. With the number of devotees visiting Tirumala for darshan of the Lord steadily increasing, TTD is handling the preparation and distribution of laddu prasadam with meticulous planning, continuously providing services to ensure devotees face no inconvenience.
