New AP Bhavan with Rs. 105 Crore
New Delhi, July 3: A step forward has been taken for the construction of a new AP Bhavan in the national capital, Delhi, which will serve as the state’s administrative and hospitality center. The state government has entrusted the construction responsibility to the central public sector undertaking, National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), at an estimated cost of around Rs. 105.5 crore. NBCC stated in an announcement that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government for the planning, design, and construction of the new AP Bhavan, which will be built over an area of about 2.5 lakh square feet. NBCC, a Navratna company under the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, will undertake the planning, design, and construction responsibilities of the project on a turnkey basis. After construction is completed, the company will also be responsible for the annual maintenance of the building for at least five years.
